My name is Margarita Bauer and I am a police officer with the Henry County Police Department. I was born in Soviet Union in the region that is known as Tashkent, Uzbekistan. When I was ten years old, I joined the ballet academy. Upon graduation, I began to work at the Grand Theater as a professional ballerina. Though I enjoyed dancing and performing, ballet was never my true passion. When I enrolled into Moscow State Social University and began my criminal law course, I realized that law and criminology is what I am most passionate about.
In 2008, I was very fortunate and grateful to have the opportunity to come to the United States. After traveling between America and my home country for a few years, I realized that I truly wanted to become an American Citizen. But most of all, I wanted to give back to the country that welcomed me so graciously, while also fulfilling my passion of law enforcement.
I chose to apply to HCPD because of the invaluable work that everyone at the department performs. It is real honor to work, learn, and serve this community while representing such an esteemed department.
